Audience

Fireworks Series Level 1   (6 hours)

Day 1:
The interface, Different work spaces, The divisions of the tool bar, Creating a new document, Placing a photo on the stage, Demonstrating Grids, Smart Guides, Tooltips, Rulers, Layers, Pages, Master Pages, Placing text in a document, Typeograpy controls & Saving a file

Day 2:
Importing various file types, Opening PSD files, Opening AI files, Image preview, Exporting files, Creating PDF files, Saving PSD files, Saving AI files & Exporting basics for asset creation.

Fireworks Series Level 2   (6 hours)

Day 1:
Creating with the bitmap toolset, Resizing images, Using selection tools, Using the drawing tools, Retouching images, Bitmap effects & Reviewing integration between FW and PSD

Day 2:
Creating with the Vector toolset, Shapes and properties, Autoshapes, 9-Slice Scaling tool, Vector Masking, Adding a vector mask to a bitmap, The knife tool & Exporting a basic prototype

Fireworks Series Level 3   (6 hours)

Day 1:
Working with Symbols, Creating Graphic, button and animation symbols, Creating animated GIFs (Logos and banner ads) & Creating a tween animation

Day 2:
The web toolset, Interactivity and hotspots, The slice tool and asset creation, Optimization of images, Working with Text, Utilization of filters and styles, Exporting an HTML prototype & Generating a CSS-based layout

Fireworks Series Level 4   (6 hours)

Day 1:
Prototyping a website from the beginning, Using a master page, Organizing layers, Common library and the Document library & Blend modes and masks

Day 2:
HTML component symbols, Form elements, The Fireworks Dreamweaver workflow, Round trip edits, Copy and Paste from Fireworks to Dreamweaver, Using Fireworks tools in Bridge, Creating options for showing the client & Prepping for the buildout
