The main thing I really like about photoshop is the amount of power it's got. Initially when I first started out working with it, I was just handling the simple features. When you get more advanced, there is so much more you can control and manipulate with photographs. So happy I made the leap from pre-fitted Microsoft solutions!

The main thing I love about photoshop is definitely the range of feature it has. Initially when I first started out working with it, I was just handling the general features. When you get more advanced, there's so much more you can manage and utilise with photographs. So happy I made the jump from pre-installed Microsoft solutions!

The main thing I really like in photoshop is the degree of feature it has. When I first begun working with it, I was barely running the simple options. When you are more complex, there is so much more you can manage and adjust with images. So pleased I made the step from pre-fitted Microsoft programs!

Thanks Everet, I appreciate your comments. I'm surprised how many established print professionals haven't taken advantage of the bevy of online portfolio options. Having an online presence makes a tremendous difference when you're looking for work...and when work is looking for YOU! It's not always an easy transition, especially with so many options on the market for designers to choose from. I do know several artists who are on 3 or 4 different portfolio sites. It's like having more than one recruiter...that's just good business savvy.

Good perspective Erica. I've been stressing to the students I work with the importance for talented individuals to make sure they have online and physical portfolios when they are looking for their first job. I'm amazed how many comapnies today still tell me how many applications they receive from people who don't have any way to show their work. Keep up the good work!

Paul, you might miss the point that Indesign is a pagination program used for construction. If something needs to be imported into FW then you should be using a creation program like illustrator / photoshop.
Otherwise you can save as pdf, open in illustrator, save as eps and then presto
